Illinois Residents Submit Your FAFSA by April 28

Illinois Residents Submit Your FAFSA by April 28 Are you an Illinois resident? If so, make sure to submit your 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) bySunday, April 28! Our school code is 001775. The FAFSA allows you to receive various forms of need-based financial aid, including loans, work-study, and grants. Grants do not have to be paid back, making them extremely helpful for anyone who receives them. The State of Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) is one such grant. The MAP grant is for Illinois residents only and can provide up to almost $5,000 per year. Because these grants are made on a first-come, first-served basis, though, funding quickly runs outâ€"and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) has just announced that if students dont submit their FAFSA by April 28, they may not be considered for the MAP grant. So again, if you’re an Illinois resident, I strongly encourage you to complete and submit your FAFSA application ASAP (and no later than this Sunday)so you will be considered for as many financial awards as possible! If you have questions regarding the MAP grant or your FAFSA, you can contact theOffice of Student Financial Aidat 217-333-0100. cost Brian Assistant Director, Undergraduate Admissions I'm here to help high school students and their families navigate the college search process.
